Marine Sensing and Underwater Acoustic Technologies
Assessing underwater noise is a multidisciplinary activity that requires noise recording equipment tailored and set up in the field to a specific problem, followed by adequate acoustic data analysis. The assessment of the impact involves the application of criteria based on metrics, in order to determine the likelihood of a given effect to occurr. Acoustic propagation modelling of the area of study shall be included for an increased or complete spatial coverage, and for a full understanding of the acoustic propagation in the study area.
The company provides consultancy in Underwater Noise in the scope of Environmental
Impact Assessments, by performing field noise recordings, data
storage, and data analysis, in order to produce results on noise levels and
impact zones.
More Information...
We perform underwater noise monitoring in-situ using multiple underwater acoustic recorders.
More Information...
This in-situ survey is intended to characterize the acoustic propation channel in a certain area.
This information can then be used for adjusting the acoustic model when creating area noise maps.
